I’m Richard Southwell, a mathematician from a place near York in the UK. Outside of doing maths I enjoy spending time with my family, playing chess, swimming, walking and playing computer games.
I did my Bsc in Theoretical Physics at the University of York. I did my Msc in Mathematics at the University of York. I did my PhD in Mathematics at the University of Sheffield. After that I spent a year as a research associate working in the amorph project;
After that I moved to Hong Kong and joined the Network Communications and Economics Lab at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Then I got a job as an Assistant Professor at IIIS, in Tsinghua University, Beijing
Then I moved back to Hong Kong and returned to my old job as a researcher in the Network Communications and Economics Lab at The Chinese University of Hong Kong
